High school students participated in the democratic process at school, electing eleven candidates to act on their behalf in school events during 2016-17. Special welcome to Hannalee Isaacs, who is new to Woods and willing to jump right into community action. Student Council members, pictured above, include (back row, left to right) Nicholas Galin, Colin Ward, Henry Nachman, Kelly Andres, Alex Christian, Mitchell O'Connor, Patrick Deegan, (front row, left to right) Grace Smith, Tyler Deegan, Hannalee Isaacs, and Ryan Lanford.
On Thursday, September 8, the Woods Charter High School had a club fair throughout the high school hallway. All the clubs of the high school community set up posters to show what their clubs are about and had representatives stand by to answer any questions. The high school teachers encourage club involvement for all students and any student can start a new club at Woods. All you need to start a club is an idea, imagination, people, and a teacher sponsor. Overall, the Woods Charter High School offers a total of 23 clubs to choose from. There is such a wide variety of clubs at Woods that all students will be able to find something they enjoy. Woods Charter clubs are a great way for students to build community, meet new people, and get to know their teachers a little better.
Welcome to Woods!
Learning takes many forms and happens inside and outside of our classrooms and school building. See what you think!
