On the 13th through the 14th of October the seniors of the Woods Charter high school attended Camp Chestnut Ridge for their senior retreat. At the Retreat seniors were able to bond with each other over fun activities and gatherings to talk about the high school. The Seniors were able to establish goals that they plan to accomplish as a senior class for the 2016-2017 school year. The retreat provided a lot of time for students to reflect on their high school careers and to look at what the future held for them. Overall it was a great time for the seniors and teachers to get to know everyone a little better, to have fun, and to provide seniors with a short getaway from school to reflect on their lives.
The 2nd Annual WOC-out had perfect fall weather and record participation. Extra credit to Henry N. for bringing the supplies for s'mores, Mr. Dudhat and Hannah O. for camping out for the first time, Hunter H. for a great play list, David L. for keeping us safe, Ms. Koppelkam for being in charge, Tyler and Frank for organizing, and everyone for coming out!
Students in AP Seminar examined AIGA's campaign to encourage civic participation in the election process.
In the first formal step towards graduation, the class of 2017 posed for senior portraits. The off-campus project was efficiently organized by Diane Pons and Kathi Shaw, and sweetened by fruit and doughnuts from the Phoenix Bakery. Thanks to the PTSA for support.
June 10, here we come!
