All five teams advanced to compete at the State Envirothon competition taking place on April 28-29th. David Lindbo, soil scientist and mentor for the Woods team, was the keynote speaker at this year's teacher workshop.
Frog Army earned 1st place in Soils and 3rd overall. Team includes Olivia Osborne, Sarah Falkovic, Maggie Johnston and Cordelia Hume.
Twenty-three Woods students in middle and high school travelled to Elon University to participate in the Area III Regional Envirothon competition.
And the winner is....Soiled It! April Sharp, Tesia Bobrowski, Melina Spencer, Grace Hegland and Caroline Blythe earned 1st place in Aquatics, Wildlife, Forestry, Current Events & Issues and clinched the top Region III spot. All of the Woods teams qualified for the state level of competition on April 28.

The team won first place in Soils, Forestry, Wildlife, and Currents Events & Issues as well as the whole event.
